A Brief Word About Grips
Golf Club Grips
There are so many golf club grips, different types, materials, and colours, made by various manufacturers. Suggesting which is the best is like asking what is your favorite meal - everyone has their own peculiar favorite. What suits you or I, may not work for them. So instead of telling you what to buy, we have provided a few words of advice below about grips in general. Hopefully this will help you make the right decision.
Grips are the least expensive yet one of the most important parts of a golf club. However grips tend to oxidize, harden, get slick and slippery, in short they lose their "grip" over time. Therefore our most important advice is — "change your grips regularly". Like the best car tyres, the best golf club grips have the annoying habit of loosing their grip even quicker, so the advice holds doubly for those.
On this site we have tried to provide grips that satisfy the best of both worlds. The golf clubs use the highest quality grips that have a greater than normal longevity, but not the absolute highest grip factor. This way, if you don't re-grip when you are supposed to at least you will still have good grip. But, we do recommend re-gripping often — it will have a positive effect on your game. It's just like changing the oil in your car. If you play golf regularly (every week) it's a good idea to re-grip at least once a year. We also allow you to select from an excellent variety of custom upgrades for your grips.
