To Buy Clones or Not to Buy Clones!
Submitted by Joel on Tue, 25/12/2007 - 16:45.
That’s a question many people have asked. So what should I do? Well in this article I’m not going to tell you that you should buy clones because that would be a biased view and to be honest won't help you in deciding whether to buy clones or brands.Instead I’m going to discuss 3 areas that will help you in making your decision.
1) Price
As you search through different golf sites and shops the realisation hits you of just how much it’s going to cost to buy a new set of clubs. Just to buy a set of irons is gona cost over £500 (more than £70 per iron). If you've got money to burn then by all means buy the ridiculously expensive brands, as for the rest of us its not as easy as that.As you continue your search you come across a site selling clone clubs. You can't believe it when you see the prices. A complete set for under £400. Can't be right can it? Thankfully it is right. But then you ask yourself-There must be something wrong with them, perhaps the quality’s bad or they've used sub standard materials? That’s our next point.
2) Quality
Many people buy branded clubs because they think the quality of materials used and the way it’s put together will be top notch and in general that is the case. You can get a set of clubs for £150 but you expect it to be sub standard in these areas. That’s why we often think price is relative to quality. So do you view £400 for a complete set of clubs cheap? Is price relative to quality here?Yes it is. You see the clubs we sell are made in the same foundries as many of the bands using the same materials. The shafts used are the same if not better then the brands and the grips again are the same if not better then the brands. So you see not only can the brands of quality we can offer great quality at amazing prices.
3) Customisation
One of the biggest problems with buying brands is that its very difficult to have them customized. No golfer is the same. Some need the club length shorter, others need the flex to be stiffer or you'd like a different shaft or grip all of which can be done easily here at direct custom golf clubs.
When people buy brands they don't really get what they want, their own customized clubs made especially for them.
In summary then we,ve briefly looked at 3 issues surronding clones and brands. Hopefully we,ve helped you to see that you can buy clubs that play the same, feel the same and are as good a quality as the top brand clubs. All in all saving 100s and sometimes 1000s of your hard earned cash.
